- Weeds - 8" high maximum, owners responsible to middle of alleys and
ditches and out to the curb or pavement on streets. Noxious
Weeds on the State List must be eradicated by spraying or removal,
mowing is not adequate.
- Graffiti - owners must remove, assistance available and paint at reduced
cost
- Trees and bushes along street right of ways - owners must trim trees 10'
above street and alley and bushes to below 30", 8' above sidewalk,
clear for vision in intersection and alley corner vision triangles
and around stop and other traffic signs.
- Fences - permit required to build or replace or add, must follow height
and location requirements, 30" in front for closed vision, 4' for
open, 6' on side and back, fences should not be fallen down or in
pieces, or block vision at intersections and alleys.
- Alleys - Are not storage or dumping areas i.e. grass clippings, tree
limbs, parking or other items
- Garbage Cans - not left at curb and kept 25' from street, lids kept on
them, kept clean around them at the alley
- House Numbers - required on all houses, visible from street, contrast
with background, 3" high
- Dogs - 2 allowed without conditional use permit and kennel license, not
allowed to run loose or bark excessively.
- Vehicles - must be licensed and in operating condition to be parked on
street, or on your private property. That is no flat tires, missing
major parts, on blocks, without plates or current registration.
Salvage permit is available to allow 2 inoperative or unlicensed
vehicles on private property provided screening is available from
the street, alley and adjoining properties.
- Farm Animals - Lots that are under 30,000 sq.Ft do not have
grandfathering, Lots over 30, 000 sq.ft. must have continuously had
farm animals since 1971, gaps over 1 year invalidates
grandfathering. Raising Area must be 10,000 SqFt per horse/cow,
5000 per goat/sheep, area must be kept clean, pens and stables must
be 30 ft from property lines.
- Pot Belly Pigs - verifiable pot belly pigs allowed with conditional use
permit from code enforcement, farm pigs not allowed.
- Trailers - not allowed to be parked on the street unless hooked to a
vehicle.
- Camp Trailers or RVs - Not allowed to be lived in as living space
outside of RV Parks.
- Tires - old tires need to be stacked and covered to be outside, or
disposed of at the landfill.
- Trailers and Vehicles not in daily use may not be parked in 20' front
yard set back area.
- Scattered trash, debris, car parts, wood (fire wood piles OK), old
furniture and appliances outside not being used, old mattresses,
old pallets.
- Vacant houses that are open and accessible and are an attractive
nuisances, need to be secured
- Home Occupations-2 SqFt of signage total, ie- 18"x 18", no outside
storage, need permit on file with P&Z
- Farm Animals as Pets - 3 small animals allowed with Ag Pet Permit.
Poultry not allowed to be at large or loose
- Mobile Homes skirted and with proper materials, not under 400 SqFt on
single lots
- Sidewalk not in poor condition being a trip and fall hazard.
- Parking on sidewalks is not allowed, Motorhomes may parked on the street
for only 72 hrs, parking must be 25' from corners.
- Gophers, Rats, and Injurious Insects are the property owners
responsibility.
- Yard Sales - 1 per calendar qtr, no more than 3days long each, signs not
put on power or light poles or trees.
